Dual Extrusion for Delta Printer & Smart Effector

I was hoping someone could offer suggestions on implementing and selecting an effective dual extrusion solution for a Delta printer. My primary goal is to be able to print with (2) materials (one of the materials being for support, possibly pva).
From my limited research it seems that something similar to the prometheus system would be good for a delta printer. This type of system would eliminate the need to switch tools, level multiple nozzles and would weigh less than a multi-nozzle system. I'm also not interested in a mixing hot-end as I'm not concerned with multi-color prints.
I know that some of the physical challenges will be how to support the system above the smart effector, how to create a prime tower using slicers, and how to switch filaments in the slicer.
I'm sure there are many other considerations as well.
Any advise would be appreciated. -
i have never tried it but there is the diamond hotend.
you can find matching effectors on thingiverse

but i dont think it will work with the smart effectorAs a long term user of Diamond hot ends, I really wouldn't recommend one in this instance. TBH, I wouldn't contemplate using one on a Delta at all, although I am aware that some people do. From the OPs point of view, the Diamond has 3 inputs not two and all 3 have to be loaded with filament at all times. Not only that, you have to use firmware retraction and retract all 3 filaments concurrently. Otherwise all that happens is filament is drawn from one of the other inputs rather than the nozzle tip. So that means 3 Bowden tubes and 3 extruders. And with 3 E3D lite style heat sinks sticking out at 22 degrees, I doubt that there is any way to mount it such that the peizo in the smart effector would work.

after using a chimera clone (dual fixed nozzles) for a while, i have designed a pivoting mechanism for two CR-10 style hotends. the toolchange is activated by a remote servo using a bowden cable (bicycle brake cable). this allows the effector to remain compact and light.
printing with two colors or PLA+ PVA support is working nicely.
but - this will probably not fit on a smart effector... and bed probing is done with a detachable switch. -
