Connecting to wifi in windows environment
-
Please explain what you mean by "in the process of connecting it keeps resetting the WiFi".
-
Her is what it looks like it is assigning 2 IP address. When I put the 10.54.24.171 in the Firefox browser it just searches and never connects. I have Mac at home and have no problem connecting, not a windows fan but it is what we have at work. It has not done a reset so far however I cannot connect thru browser.

My guess is that your corporate router is blocking the connection. Can you ping the Duet WiFi?

Yes pinging the Duet is no problem: I have updated all and here is what is going on:

Can't you connect to 192.168.1.10?
-
So the Duet is responding to pings but apparently not to HTTP requests. Your corporate router may be blocking requests t named IP addresses as part if a corporate internet access policy. Does your company have an IT department you can ask?
Two things you can try:
1. Load the developer console in FireFox by pressing control-shift-J, and see if there are any error messages.
2. Use Wireshark on your PC to log the network traffic to/from the Duet's IP address - if you are allowed to install WireShark on the PC.

I have been working with my IT department. They are trying to figure out why the DuetWiFi keeps resetting itself. I have posted the logs from the S3D console above.
Sometimes the page loading will say DuetWiFi but even then it does not connect or bring up the web control page. I brought up the developer console but did not see any errors.
It would be nice to work for a company that just had MACS. -
The other question is why is it configuring a 192 address and actual address 10.54.24.171?
READ: Network is enabled, configured IP address: 192.168.1.10, actual IP address: 10.54.24.171, HTTP port: 80
READ: ok -
The configured IP address is currently ignored by the Duet WiFi, it can only get its IP address via DHCP.
I understand now, the WiFi module keeps resetting itself because of an exception. Must be a bug in DuetWiFiServer. Try installing the previous DuetWiFiServer version 1.02 in case it makes any difference.
-
I installed the Version 1.02 and it still is resetting itself because of an exception.
-
Still have resetting issues, I have been working with IT. They sent me the wireshark info and I have added below. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the issue I am having
