New Duet 2 Wifi, wifi module starting...
-
Just got my second Duet 2 Wifi (been running one in another printer for over a year) and I can't get the wifi to work on it. The wifi module isn't showing a blue led and YAT just says "Wifi module is starting" but it never actually starts. Here's the results of sending M122;

Please try reinstalling the WiFi firmware. It should already be on the SD card, so you can send M997 S1 to reinstall it.

Thanks for the reply. Well, I'm trying to post the results of sending M997 S1 but Aksimet keeps blocking it as spam. But it's failing due to comm write error.

Tried a different USB port on my computer with the same results. I think the wifi module is dead. Which sucks. I expect a controller that costs $170 to have been tested. I'm sure FIlastruder will replace it but they can't replace the time I've spent troubleshooting or the time I'll now have to wait on a new one to arrive or for this one to be repaired.

The WiFi module needs to be replaced. As Filastruder to replace your Duet.
I assure you, all Duets that we and our distributors sell are tested before shipment, and that includes testing WiFi connectivity.
-
Yeah. I get to ship it back on my dime so they can pick through it for a couple days. Then, if they don't find a way to blame it on me, they'll send a replacement. Last time I do business with Filastruder.
-
That is not true, your replacement has already been approved, as stated in the email. We [Filastruder] just need your board back first, as is the case with most warranty programs.

Yeah, that's a pretty standard policy. But this isn't a standard product. If I wanted standard, I'd buy a $30 MKS board off amazon and if it was DoA, I'd expect to have to jump through a few hoops to get it replaced. Instead, I bought a premium product from an authorized distributor for a premium price.
