Motedis I-Type Profiles and "Roll In" Nuts
-
I'm looking at Motedis profiles for a Precision Kossel build, specifically the I-Type slot 5:
And the corresponding T-Nuts:
Does anyone else who's done this build before know if these nuts are roll in or not? I've previously built a Kossel with OpenBeam and a real pain for me was not being able to easily add in new fasteners without taking loads of stuff apart, so if these aren't roll in, I'm tempted to go for B-Type extrusion instead so I can add new stuff in without taking the whole printer apart and having to recalibrate everything!
Thanks,
Alex -
Those ones I'm not sure of.
The ones I use are similar, in that they drop into the extrusion, and will 'twist' lock when tightening the bolt. This allows easy changing of parts etc. e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Mx4-Drop-in-T-nuts-for-B-style-2020-Aluninium-Extrusion-Profiles/303056244208?hash=item468f8f4df0:g:4oMAAOSwcOtcXtE~:rk:1:pf:0

They are described as "T-nut with spring ball", so, yes, I'm pretty sure they roll in.

Yes they are roll-in. I use them in my delta printer.

Perfect, in that case the I-Type profile wins out for me, for the slight increase in rigidity (5% according to what I can interpret from the specs).
