Voltage drop on Duet Wifi when connecting 7" PanelDue

E3D sent me over here to troubleshoot and/or get warranty replacement authorization.
With the duet 2 wifi and PanelDue connected I get a display and can access the web panel, but when I try to move motors they don't move. I checked status with m122 and the voltage is showing as 8.2v Through troubleshooting I disconnected the PanelDue and the voltage went back to 12.3v and all of the motors now work. For some reason the PanelDue is dropping the voltage from 12.3v to 8.2v which is causing the Duet to disable the motors as the voltage is too low. Is there something wrong with the PanelDue? I have checked voltage coming in with a multimeter and it shows 12v at all times.

It looks like there is a fault that causes the VIN voltage monitoring circuit to under-read when the PanelDue is connected. My suspicion is that a fault on the PanelDue or the cable connecting the PanelDue is causing 5V to be fed into the URXD or UTXD input of the PanelDue connector. Can you check the cable for shorts?

I was reading through the forums, I didn't realize I could just use the 4 pin connector and not the ribbon cable to use the LCD. So I removed the ribbon cable and only attached the 4 pin connector and all is working. So this means I just can't use the sd card slot on the PanelDue.

It sounds like there is a short in either the ribbon cable, or a problem with the SD card slot part of the PanelDue. If the Duet still works properly when the ribbon cable is plugged into the Duet but not into the PanelDue, then the fault is in the PanelDue.
Assuming the Duet does work with the ribbon cable connected to it but not connected to the PanelDue, one obvious thing to check is that there are no solder bridges on the back of the ribbon cable socket on the PanelDue.
