Keenovo digital controller

So I've upgraded the 3d printer at work from mini rambo to duet. Originally the keenovo heater was wired into mains and relay and was turned on and off by simply setting the thermistor to 26 and turning the bed off via gcode. I have everything wired the same but not sure how to turn the bed on and off as now the bed just reads 2000 as there is no thermistor connected. Is there some kind of way to add a dummy value to turn the relay on and off to trigger the control box of the keenovo?

You could use M42 to control a GPIO pin that feeds the relay.

So would I just rewire the output pins going to the relay to another set of pins or could I just remap the heatbed pins.
