[DuetNG] V_FAN in

Hi there,
I'm running my duet off 24V, for temporary reasons I need to replace my dying 24V fans. They didn't last long at all
I've already tried to replace my hotend fan by a very quiet fancy 5V one but I quickly had issue with my prints, it wasn't "powerful" enough to cool the heatsink.I've salvaged good old 40mm fans from some old network switches, they're 12V ones.
I have some very cheap DC-DC converter (http://www.banggood.com/5Pcs-Mini-DC-DC-Converter-Adjustable-Power-Supply-Step-Down-Module-p-951165.html)
I'm a newbie at EE, from what I've gathered, it would be ok to inject 12V into V_FAN so that the fan fets drive them with 12V, would you recommend doint that ?A more complicated question: what setup would you recommend if I was willing to run my pwm fans at different voltage ?
I thought of setting V_FAN to 5V and driving external fets with -FANx, would that be ok ?
(I've just look at the schematics, there might be better and easier ways)Thanks in advance !

1. Yes you can feed 12V into the centre pin of the fan voltage jumper on the Duet WiFi. Make sure there is no chance of the connector coming loose and shorting against anything.
2. You can use multiple fan voltages by connecting the negative wire of each fan to the appropriate Fan- pin and the positive wire of the fan to +5V, +12V or +24V as required.
