Batch1 production and testing update
-
Good news! I've just finished a new CoreXY D-Bot this is destined for.
I'm in the first batch and live in the USA - are you shipping these direct or will it first go through your US distributor?
-
Very nice! I'm not until batch 2 and 4, but this is good to hear. Any word on how long we may wait for a duex(N) to appear?

USA orders are handled by Filastruder. We're having the boards overnighted from UK to here, and then we'll have them turned around the same day. I'd expect batch 1 folks to be receiving them early next week.

I have no words to express how this makes me feel…so...

Any chance for an order update, like what order# you have gotten sent out?

Here is an update from earlier today:
"As of today we have had 73 tested boards from our subcontractor and expect at least another 20 on Tuesday and daily thereafter until we hit 200. After that they will send bigger batches less frequently to reduce shipping costs.
We shipped all non-US batch 1 boards on Wednesday and yesterday, and will be sending US Batch 1 boards plus addons for all batches to Filastruder today. We will also send out all non-US Batch 2 boards today.
As soon as we get another 27 boards from our subcontractor, probably by Wednesday, we will send Filastruder their Batch 2 boards. We should be able to start on Batch 3 the same day, nominally meeting the published shipping date. At 20 a day Batch 3 will take us to around 7 September.
Batch 4 should start on 14 September as planned and take up to a week."
The bottleneck in the production process is programming and testing the boards. I am working on making programming faster, and our ATE will speed up testing when it is completed.

Postie has just delivered a package to me. (From batch 2)
Nice touches with the Connector kit
Many thanks for all your hard work getting these out after the initial probs with the PCB's

Postie also delivered me two DuetWiFis, various sensors and boards and a couple of PanelDues - still drooling
Next is upgrading the BigBox electronics (keeping the Octoprint for the camera), heater block and sensor upgrades for my delta and possibly an upgrade for my venerable Mendel90 or maybe something new - decisions, decisions …
Many thanks for your excellent work getting these out despite PCB issues.

Can you confirm if the Pads on the V0.4 PT100 RTD Boards need to be bridged on the Beta ones they were bridged with fine tracks the 0.4 boards with the production run seem to not have those tracks?
Brian Gilbert just asked me that on the Chatroom they have started?

I've just updated the PT100 page on the wiki to (hopefully) clarify the wiring.

Quick update - US shipments are stuck in customs, but I'm told they will be delivered to Filastruder tomorrow. They'll be turned around and shipped back out the same day.
-
Batch 1 US shipment has arrived, packing them up now for all batch 1 US customers. Will ship today.
-
So I'm a US customer who pre-ordered from Batch 4. I see your website says they're in-stock and ready to ship now…so naturally I'm a little confused. Will I be receiving from your current stock, or must I wait until after the estimated September 14 dispatch for batch 4 customers?

Filastruder purchased some from each batch to sell at retail (at retail prices).
As these boards are at retail price, they are about $40 more expensive than the preorder was - so preorder folks in late batches might have to wait until mid September, but they saved $40 by getting in on the preorder.
-
Indeed, The pre-order price is discounted. It will go up once we have satisfied the pre-orders.
