Extrude until endstop triggered
-
Hi,
I would like to be able to extrude until an endstop is triggered (not for a FDM printer), that would allow me to know the exact position of the filament (in front of the switch) before starting to print.
I've seen that M574 command does no longer take into account E parameters which mean that I can no longer use G1 E100 S1.
Is there a way around to acheive this ? Or is it possible to re-activate this feature ?
Thank you,
Alban -
That's not currently supported, however you can extrude until motor stall is detected.

what about to stop extrusion with a trigger? He extrude with one comand and stop with the trigger

That's not supported either. Is there a reason you can't extrude until resistance is encountered?

Okay, this could be a solution, I need to test if it's precise enough or if it bends the wire too much before stalling.
Thanks,

You can reduce the motor current while loading filament to avoid bending it. See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Stall_detection_and_sensorless_homing#Section_Using_extruder_stall_detection_during_filament_loading.
