Driver Overtemp monitoring

Other than configuring a dummy tool is there any way to add additional temperatures to the extras list in DWC?
I have thermostatic control configured on my board cooling fan and it would be useful to be able to see on the chart where overtemp occurs and that it is actually clearing rather than just hovering around the warning mark (or worse, just below the shutdown point)
Similarly, if I could find how to view unused temperature inputs without actually having to type G-Code or run a macro I could use them to monitor things like my power supply temperature and the current ambient temperature.
Is there a setting somewhere I've missed?

You can add named virtual heaters and have them displayed in the extra list and the chart in DWC. See M305 in the GCode wiki page.
