Connecting Accelerator - erratic behavior
-
Hello,
I am trying to connect an accelerator to establish input shaping profiles.
I have a simple LIS3DH, connected to the Duex board (I am running a Toolchanger). Firmware is RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 3.5.0-rc.3 (2024-01-24). Duet WiFi Server Version: 2.1beta6When putting the command M955 P0 C"spi.cs6+spi.cs5"
the first time, it most often fails, and a repeat of the command does usually not work. when I however enter M955 P0 C"spi.cs5+spi.cs6", followed by the correct M955 P0 C"spi.cs6+spi.cs5", it most always records "connected".The InputShaper plugin seems to recognize it (most of the time - there are times that it simply takes a few more tries for it to be recognized). I have connected it through a flat ribbon, surrounded it with copper tape, and connected the shield to GND.
My issue (perhaps not surprisingly) is that when trying to record a profile, it makes the first move, but then stalls. When I cancel and try again, it usually reboots itself after the first move.
Would appreciate pointers where to start looking? Is my accelerator junk and I should try with another one?

Thanks for following up: the cable is about 50cm long.
The module itself is an unbranded one from Amazon - the chip reads 96AED - HED - UTE8!

@phoenix ,50cm should be ok
You could try a test with a shorter wire just to confirm it's not that.

@T3P3Tony I should have mentioned: I get the same behavior using a 10cm lead. pretty sure it's not the wire length.
