1LC QUESTION
-
Mr. Crocker or anyone else,
Just to be sure, will the 1LC be okay running a (2.85) Mosquito Magnum+ with a LGX Pro extruder? I'm getting ready to prototype a new industrial printhead design and I want to be sure that I won't run into any limitations.

@br7408 See https://docs.duet3d.com/Duet3D_hardware/Duet_3_family/Duet_3_Toolboard_1LC#operating-limits for the 1LC operating limits.

@Herve_Smith I'm already using the 1LC with my current setup, and super happy with it. I am just trying to make sure it will handle the increased amperage load of these bigger components.

@droftarts I reviewed that. The 1LC is rated at 5A for the hotend output. The Mosquito Magnum+ pulls 4.2A, not counting the LGX pro extruder. Just trying to forsee any potential issues.

@br7408 The 5A limit is just for the heater output. We recommend limiting the 1LC to 10A, though there is no fuse protection on-board; we recommend fitting an inline fuse. Using a 7.5A inline fuse would provide overhead for a 1.5A stepper motor.

@droftarts Excellent! Thanks for clarifying that. I do already have a fuse provision on my 24V line so I should be gtg.
