Can MKS Pi board be used with Duet?
-
As stated above, can a MKS Pi board be used with Duet? As you guys are aware, raspberry Pi boards are hard to come by these days. So, I noticed that MKS has come out with their own version of the Pi for their products and it looks like it would work, but not sure how it would connect. Below is a link to one on Aliexpress. The MKS pi is much cheaper!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Or maybe do you have a list of SBC's that can be used instead of the raspberry pi? Like the orange pi perhaps?
-
@Jered I don't think anything should stop you from running DSF on armbian and run it on other SBCs. You will just find a way to build and install the software.
-
@oliof The software build is the same for the alternative SBC's, however, the MKS pi doesn't have the same connector as the raspberry pi. Just wondering how to wire it to the Duet. The orange pi does look like the wiring would be the same though.
I would prefer to use the MKS pi.

What IO pins does it have? You can see the required ones here. If they are equivalent, you could probably wire it up.

@Phaedrux
The Orange pi has all of the pins except the TfrRdy pin. However, of the pins that are there, they are on different pin #'s.It would be nice if someone would make a more readily available SBC for Duet. The shortage of Raspberry pi's is very inconvenient!

Supposedly the drought is nearly over.

@Jered we also have this page to assist in installing DSF on armbian https://teamgloomy.github.io/dsf_on_armbian.html
-
@Jered We have a similar Duet3D wiki page about the DSF installation on other boards, too: https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Machine_configuration/DSF_Other

Thanks guys, I will check it out.
