TeamGloomy 3.5b2 brings SPI to CAN-FD support for STM32F4 boards
-
On behalf of TeamGloomy, I am pleased to announce that 3.5b2 (https://github.com/gloomyandy/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/v3.5beta2%2B_103) has been released and this build brings support for SPI to CAN-FD modules.
We have worked with Flymaker/Mellow to develop a module that can be plugged into either the driver socket or the EXP1/EXP2 ports of an STM32F4 based board, enabling you to connect 1 or 2 toolboards to your printer. Previously, this was restricted to STM32H7 or Duet 3 boards. The modules will be available to purchase in the next few days.
More information can be found on the wiki https://teamgloomy.github.io/ for each board along with recommendations for which module should be purchased. There are 3 boards that SPI to CAN-FD canβt be used on, which are the Fly-E3, Fly-E3-Pro and BTT-RRF-E3-v1.1, due to hardware SPI pins being unavailable.

@jay_s_uk Good news, I can run dual gcode now on my Super8 board! Maybe I'll add a laser diode on my CNC soon
If I'd use the driver-port CAN-FD adapter, does it matter whether it's on 24V or 48V? -
@o_lampe it would need to be 24v

@jay_s_uk they're finally on sale
