Timeout on large heater
-
I am having a timeout problem, temp not reached, on a 1100x1100 bed heater. Bed is divided in 4 parts and i am trying to tune one at the time, i set a temp pid of 90° C and at about 84 i got the message.
Being a 20mm 1100x1100mm alu bed it is normal to take a bit for it to heat, is there a way to enlarge the timeout during pid?
Heater is 850watt per zone for a total of 3,4kw. -
I can see that being a bit problematic due to the single heater losing a lot of heat to the very large heat sink.
I'm not sure this will work during PID tuning, but you could try this
https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Reference/Gcodes#m570-configure-heater-fault-detection
You can also try setting a lower PID tune temperature target since it seems to be getting close to 90, try 80 instead.

@phaedrux thank you very much, trying 80° now.

It worked at 80°, problem solved.
