SSR on heater3 pin
-
I'd like to connect a SSR on the heater3 pin (expansion connector)
According to the datasheet, the SSR needs a "control current" of 6....20mA.
Can i connect the SSR directly to the heater3 pin? Or do i need a PWM-Mosfet driver? -
@cosmowave most SSRs require a minimum control voltage of 3V. If that's the case for your SSR, connect the negative control input terminal to heater3 and the positive control input to +3.3V.
If your SSR needs more than 3.3V then you will need to use a buffer or level shifter to increase the voltage.

@dc42 Thanks for the info. My ssr should work with control voltages between 3-32V.
