RRF config tool won't add expansion boards
-
Hi there, new to RRF. I'm trying to configure a Duet 3 mini 5+ and add in the TOOL1LC expansion board. There are multiple expansion boards listed but it will not allow me to select any of them. Is this a glitch? How do I proceed?
Thanks!

@aquaticlife The config tool was updated yesterday, and a bug seems to have been introduced, sorry. One for @chrishamm to fix.

@herve_smith Have selected a pin under I/O mapping? Without those you can't select endstops or z probe but you can when set.
The first fan is the part cooling fan and so not suitable for this.

@herve_smith What duet board?

@herve_smith I’ve checked, and making valid choices for output pins on the I/O mapping page, using Mini 5+, all of the things you note as unselectable are selectable. There’s still an issue adding expansion boards, though. See the configuration guide for guidance using the config tool: https://docs.duet3d.com/en/How_to_guides/Configuring_firmware

@droftarts Do you know approximately how long it'll be before the bug fix? I have a number of other things to do to my printer in the meantime, just not sure if its a days, weeks, months, kind of thing. Cheers.

@aquaticlife ignore adding them in the config tool and do it manually. Other than setting up X Y Z with single motors you need to edit your config anyway. And its better to learn what's going on with the config than rely on something that's autogenerated

@aquaticlife I expect @chrishamm will fix it early in the week. For examples of configuration with expansion/toolboard, see https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Machine_configuration/Configuration_cartesian
