Z-stepping to short?
-
I don't think my Z is advancing as fast as I need it to.
Is there a way I can config it to keep up?
-
Have you set the Z steps per mm correctly?
-
That seems not a steps/mm Issue cause the X is clearly readable. Only a gap betwwen ~ Lyer 10 and the next (or is this a brim?)and the Rest above. Seems more a mechanical issue. Cause wrong steps will be noticeable everywhere and the X will not as clear as this one.

During the print I kept having to add baby z-steps so it would not damage my hotend by it running back into the print
-
If the problem is not consistent enough to be incorrect steps/mm then I think it's either a mechanical issue or caused by your Z acceleration or Z maximum speed being settling high.
-
It starts after the first layer is down then it just gets worse after that.

Here is my config I have matched to a few on this forum and I think I got it right.
