Duet 3 6HT not responsive

Hi guys

I just plugged in my new board. Sd card is in raspberry pi 4.
Raspberry pie boots. No issues with that. No connection to duet

On duet board voltage diodes r on. And status light is dim. Doesn’t blink. Stays dim.

Only thing connected is 24V psu.

Same thing without raspberry pie

When you try without the Pi, are you putting the SD card that came with the board into the Duet?

What do you see on the pi that says no connection?

@piciu82 Are you powering the pi4 from the duet? Do you have the jumpers set correctly for that?

I'm not sure it recommend to power a pi4 from the duet, maybe try an external PSU for the pi.

@rushmere3d I tried both ways. Nothing seems to work. Tried with and card in duet. No communication with the board also. Voltages on board r good. Thinking mpu is fried on board.

For now let's ignore the pi4 entirely and focus on just the Duet to see if it's working or not.

Are you using the SD card that came with the Duet? It should be a dual use card setup to work in either the Pi or the Duet.

Can you check the SD card contents in a PC? It should should folders such as sys www gcodes macros etc.

If so, and you place the SD card in the Duet and connect via USB are you able to access it via USB terminal like YAT? If so send M115 and see what firmware is installed.

What LEDs are lit on the 6HC when connected via USB?

@phaedrux same sd card with original content installed in duet 3d. USB plugged in to computer. Raspberry pi disconnected. 5v and 3.3v led lit. And led by micro USB port. Status light dim. No communication over yat.

@phaedrux no. Doesn’t show in device manager. I just got second duet 3ht board today. This one works just fine. There’s definitely something wrong with first one. How can I warranty it ??

It sounds like the firmware is just missing from the board. Please try this firmware recovery procedure over USB.
