@jay_s_uk Well I'll be dammed. I can find to reference to that on the git project, nor do I see it for sale anywhere. I do recall some talks on the forum about that though. I am interested to hear the official announcement/changelog.

I bought it from the duet guys last week.
Itsusing large SMT resistors instead of PCB traces as strain gauges, for more accuracy
-
@jay_s_uk actually we made the change for robustness and higher production yield rather than accuracy. The new version is slightly less sensitive than the old one, but it doesn't have the fine strain gauge traces on the PCB that were easily damaged by scratching. It also makes more room available on the effector for future electronics development. We were also able to change to standard 1oz copper instead of 0.5oz to better carry the heater current.

@dc42 ah, that makes sense.
The above was what Roland told me, so thanks for the clarification -
-
@dc42 yea, ok. no rush if there's not one to hand.
-
@dc42 Any idea when this one will be available in Canada? It looks like I might need a replacement. I think may have scratch the strain gauge traces on my V2.
I'd much rather buy a V3 if they're improving upon that issue.

@jay_s_uk sorry for the delay the v3.0 files are now on github

@t3p3tony no worries. Thanks for posting them
