3D TOUCH need resistor?
-
Hi guys,
I am using a duet2wifi board 1.04version. recently bought a 3D TOUH sensor. but I am not sure whether the sensor output needs to be connected 240ohm resistor between the z probe in and GND pin?here my 3D TOUCH it mentioned smart 3.1Version

The resistor hasn't been relevant for the past couple years now.
Since it's a clone, it's hard to say what exactly it needs. Did they provide one? If it's a good clone of the Smart Bltouch probes, then it should be fine without.
Also since you have a recent Duet board v1.04 it is already 5v tolerant, so shouldn't matter.

@phaedrux is there any way to measure the output voltage of the probe?

oscilloscope?

If you have a meter capable of measuring DV volts in the range of 0 to 24 VDC put the black lead on GEN and the red lead on Z MIN.
That assumes that SIG is used to control the probe.
