Integrated Step servo Motors

I have a Creatbot D600 pro with the motors at the link above on all 3 axis. Are there any potential problems I may run into using a 1XD expansion board to control them? Thank you

@dc42 I had previously read that and tried to research on this forum. I read through quite a few posts of people controlling external drivers and also the post of the clearpath steppers that were layer shifting. I read you found a discrepancy with position after pausing and restarting the motor over the CAN-connection.
I apologize for my incompetency with this subject. I have fallen into this world due to a business I have started. I have 3 D600 pro creatbot machines that have not been reliable for me. I am now somewhat forced into converting these machines over to a system I have control of and hope to be more reliable.
I believe from what I have read that they can be controlled with the proper pulse width settings. I would greatly appreciate a confirmation of this for my specific motors I shared the link for above before purchasing this system.
I assume the document you shared gives this answer to someone with more knowledge in this field unfortunately I am not there yet. Greatly appreciate your help. -
@taylo708 I'm afraid I can't help you with the issues, but I am curious about the original motors in those printers. I see on this page : https://www.creatbot.com/en/creatbot-d600.html , that they use iHSV servomotors. I have attempted to use those in my printer and ran into some problems that I attributed to driver configuration. Unfortunately there isn't much info available about tuning the drivers. Do you happen to have a print-out of the driver configuration (from the motors themselves, not the controller)? Are you scrapping the original motors? Do you want to sell any of them? Thanks!

@mrehorstdmd Unfortunately no I do not have much information on the motors or drivers. What issues are you having with them?

@taylo708 I swapped the motors into my corexy printer and ran a test print and found that the resolution seems to be poor.
First layer of the print looks like this:
And the final print has a "salmon skin" effect:
I suspect there's some driver configuration that would fix this, but I have not been able to find any information on configuring the drivers.
Would you like to sell the old motors?

@mrehorstdmd I feel I have the same salmon skin look after swapping to them as well. I had to delete a 2:1 gear reduction on my X axis though to make these motors fit. So I attributed the surface finish to that possibly. I would like to be able to get my hands on the software to tweak them.

@taylo708 I'm confused- I looked at the Creatbot D600 Pro web page and it looks like they use iHSV integrated servomotors, not the integrated closed loop steppers that you linked. Did you replace the original motors with the one's you linked?
If you're using the iHSV servomotors, you can download the software to tune the drivers here:

@mrehorstdmd Yes they sent me the motors I linked as a replacement for the original steppers. I had been pushing them to go closed loop for a year or so. They reached out and told me they had closed loop replacements for me that would plug and play.
