PT100 Failure - 2000° C.
-
I would need a little help.
I had printing problems with the PETG, I thought it was a temperature problem, I'm using an original E3D V6
For to try to improve the situation I installed a new temperature sensor, a PT100 original (ED3 V6 shop) and a PR100 RTD board.
I have modified the config.g file, removed the M305 P1 T100000 B4267 C7.060000e-8 R4700 and added the M305 P1 X200, I also tried the other channel, moving the wires and modifing the instruction with M305 P1 X201.
Unfortunately there is always a hardware error and the read temperature is 2000 ° C.
For to do some other test I placed a 100 Ohm resistor on the other channel but the problem is th same.
Obviously I checked the wires and the connections, also checked that the pt100 is ok, in fact I measured 102 ohms at the end of the wires,
I have read all post about PT100 problems, but I can not find anything that help me, what I can do? I canbuy a new board? there are any warranty on that board? any suggestions?
There are any commad for to test the board? something that help for understand this failure reason? Thanks in advance

no one can help on this?

Where did you get the PR100 RTD Board.
Also can you post a pic of your connections?

The Board come directly from duet3d shop and the PT100 from ED3 on line.
As you can see, for testing purpose I have connected a 100 Ohm resistor on one channel, and the problem is the same on both channels.
Obviously I change the channel on the config.g file.
The board was acquired a couple of months ago but never used until this morning.
Thanks for help.About pictures, sorry but i cannot find a way for to post, here a link.

Are you sure that the daughter board is lined up correctly with the socket on the Duet? The plastic pillar appears to be out of place.

Of course, I'm absolutely sure.
The plastic pillar is out of the hole intentionally, to make tests, otherwise every time I need to remove the board is very difficult.
The first time it was fitted normally, but then I unplugged it to weld the two pads on the board and also to put a resistor on a channel, just for testing purpose.
What you think? is a faulty board?
there are any gcode command for to test the board functionality? -
it looks like the board is set one row and one pin off in the top left direction to me assuming that the Plastic peg is vertical which it looks to be?

Hi Doug,
no all is OK please read the previous post.

Dommy I could be wrong but I have the exact same setup and had same issue. I zoomed in on your photo and if you take out the sd card cable and look underneath you might see 2 pins, compared to mine yours appears to be offset by 2 pins. I thought I was wrong before but I was mistaken…...

Hy Paul,
Thank you very much.
After your post I made a double check and I have discovered that you are right.
My fault was also for another reason, unfortunately one of the channel is broken…... and than my tests was falsify.
Any way, now I have at least one channel that work well.
Thank you again Paul, and thank you to all....
