DueWifi lost all connection??
-
I just had my web interface disconnect 5 minutes short of finishing a benchy. messed up the chimney real bad. Couldn't reconnect until I shut off the power, and I waited a while because I didn't know the extruder temp, didn't want a jam. But it kept on printing while disconnected from web interface.
I'm running 1.17

Firmware version 1.17 updated 29th Dec. only things i have altered since then is the Z trigger height and value (I do this when i change material) and reverted from 3 to 1 extruder mid January.

I cant see the access point in my network list, so i take it that it is not reverting to access point mode.
I was wondering if there is anything i can do from the SD card?
I am very concerned as i cant connect via USB. when i plug it in the PC dose not recognise anything is plugged in but the red LED on the Duet comes on indicating it is plugged in.
I have tried 3 laptops one running windows and two running Linux mint, one of these has been plugged in and successfully used in the past during initial setup. -

Thanks done that but,
i loaded the latest bin files into /sys and sent the relevant commands, Duet reported back it couldn't find files so i took the release number out of the names, it still reported the same but with the wififirmware file it took a long time to do it.now when i send M552 S1 i still don't get the access point but the duet reports back this:-
21:05:56.901 : Class GCodes spinning.
21:05:56.901 : Class Platform spinning.
21:05:56.901 : Class Webserver spinning.
21:05:56.901 : Class Move spinning.
21:05:56.904 : Class PrintMonitor spinning.
21:05:56.904 : Class Heat spinning.
21:05:59.561 : serial: N425 M10536
21:06:02.661 : serial: N426 M10539
21:06:22.906 : Class Network spinning.i have never watched it before so dont know if this is correct or not?
would it be worth trying to make another SD card??regards

See https://duet3d.com/wiki/What_to_do_if_your_Duet_or_Duet_WiFi_won%27t_respond to troubleshoot.
My issue is differnt, I can connect fine with ponterface and with the paneldue no problem.
No matter what I try any more I simply cant get the wifi working. Right now when I start the web server, it no longer tell me an IP, it starts up the access point. Also no device I own will connect to that access point. I was able to when I first set up the board but no longer.

did you try this yet? step 11 and 12 from the documentation page.
11-From Pronterface, send command M552 S0 followed by M552 S1 to stop and restart WiFi. A few seconds later, you should get a response giving the IP address. If this does not happen, after 30 seconds check whether the Duet access point is still available, which would indicate that it failed to connect to your network.
7_552.jpg12-Access the Duet WiFi web interface from a computer or tablet using one of the following methods, note that Chrome and Firefox should work fully however there may be issues with Edge, IE or Safari:
Enter the IP address that was displayed by Pronterface in your browser.
If your computer or tablet supports multicast DNS (mDNS), then instead of the IP address you can enter the machine name you chose followed by “.local”, e.g. “duetwifi.local”. You can add mDNS support to a Windows machine by installing Apple’s Bonjour Print Services, or to a Linux machine by installing Avahi.

Access the Duet WiFi web interface from a computer or tablet using one of the following methods, note that Chrome and Firefox should work fully however there may be issues with Edge, IE or Safari:Yes, I had set it all up and had it working fine for a day the the trouble started.
I have logged in all that worked great for a day. Then when while using the interface it started disconnecting, I would refresh the page and it would work for a bit.
That worked a few times then refresh stopped working. I have restarted the wifi with both ponterface and the paneldue, I have reloaded firmware for the duet, the wifi server and the Web interface and it still won't log on.
Today with wifi hasn't worked once. Every time I restart the wifi no IP address it just boots to an access point as if it had not been set up, however it doesn't let me connect to that either.

What exactly happens when you try to connect to the Duet access point?
Perhaps the WiFi module has developed a fault.
-
It just fails, a windows message pops up saying it failed to connect to the network but it does not give any trouble shooting Information.
I connected to it just fine the first time when I put the wifi info network information so it worked before. I have tried two phones and two laptops and nothing will connect now.
Is the a way to reset the wifi module so I can reenter the network information? I can try a different network though not sure what good that would do.

Ok here is something positive.
I restarted the my Ubiquiti access point this morning, fired up the printer issued an M552 S1, it finally game an an IP and I was able to log in.
I never tried restarting the access point as all of my other devices were connecting just fine.
So here are my two questions.
1. I am far from a networking wiz, does anyone know what I might do to the access point to prevent it from blocking the printer in the future? To any interested here is the model
Ubiquiti Networks Unifi 802.11ac Dual-Radio PRO Access Point (UAP-AC-PRO-US)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015PRO512/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=12. Does anyone have any idea why the Duet would not let me connect when it is acting as an access point now? Is it somehow related to its interaction with the Ubiquiti?

An update on the original question, I came home tonight and booted the duet control, for about 4 or 5 minuets it was the same as yesterday, so i went and made a cup of tea. when i got back the terminal i left running had stopped looping the class gcode spinning reports and just said wifi server started.
i started a web browser and connected.
I have updated the firmware and it is like nothing had ever been wrong ???
so now to put it back in the printer and try it.
Thanks for the responses,
I would like to know what caused it but it seems to be working again now.
regards
Martin
