TMC5160. Any plans

Since the TMC5160 is now readily available are there any plans to update the duet. like a Duet Wifi 2.5.

Advantages:
External mosfet. Up to 20A for steppers.

Or will those be used on the duet3?

The Duet 3 code base already supports the TMC5160.

In theory it could be done, but RRF currently supports only one type of smart driver chip in each build. Supporting both TMC2260 and TMC5160 in the same driver would be complicated, because the two chips have very different register sets.

Duet 3 main board 6HC uses TMC5160 drivers and is available to pre-order, with delivery expected towards the end of November.
