Mosfet issue, E0 heater heats up on startup, E1 blows fuses
-
I just bought a new Duet2 (2.02) from Filastruder about a week ago and setting it up in the new Venturi 3D prototype for ERRF, but ran into quite an issue. I had plugged in some 24 V fans, and started to smell burning on startup.
So I unplugged the printer, then found I blew one of the 7.5 Amp fuses, replaced it, but now the E0 heater just turns on immediately upon startup. After doing some board research, seems a Mosfet is bad, but the other heater doesn't do this.....however
I was hoping to use the other heater, but after trying to set that up, it blows another fuse when turning it on to heat up.
I don't know if I can do anything to get this board working before ERRF (I know, last minute is a bad thing)
Anyone have advice?
(The good news that I'll be 2 booths away from the Duet booth at ERRF)

Check the resistance of your hot end heater between the wires where they plug into the Duet. If it's blowing mosfets and fuses, chances are there is a short in the heater or your wiring. Be especially careful if you are trying to use a common VIN+ wire to the heater and fan(s).

Does each E0 and E1 heater have a separate mosfet?

Yes.
