Thinking of adding a auto bed leveling sensor.

I am running a Folger Tech FT5 R2 with the duet wifi control board and Pt-100 sister board, Titan aqua extruder, and factory supplied 24VDC power supply. I am currently printing on a glass bed. We do have an inclosuer and sometimes run PEKK. The temp inside the inclosure is normally around 75-80 Deg C.
I am thinking of adding an auto bed leveling sensor and wanted some input. Do you have any sugestions? -
just me... the only two sensors I've ever made work "totally trouble free" are an Inductive above a steel bed and a Smart Effector on a Delta. I realize neither of those will work for you... but... do you have a metal layer below the glass? Alu heat spreader? Inductive just might work fine. Worth a try, imho.

Its an Aluminum bed under the glass

I regularly run an one of David's IR sensors up to 80C with no problems.

IR or Inductive should work. Of course, that's technically leveling the layer below the glass... but the glass should be consistent enough that that's OK.

Bear in mind that the IR sensor does not work well with glass beds if they are coated with glue stick, hairspray etc. It works reasonable well on clean uncoated glass that has a matt black surface underneath it. You can put a sheet of black paper between the bed and the glass, or spray paint the aluminium with matt black barbecue paint and cure it at a suitable temperature.

Now that's very odd because I use various types of glass and ceramic bed surfaces in conjunction with printafix and have no issues with the IR sensor getting a reading
