PanelDuet chamber temperature?
-
Hi,
Do you know when this will be added?
Thanks
Chris

I won't be working on PanelDue firmware until October at the earliest due to upcoming work on RepRapFirmware. It's quite a lot of work to display chamber temperature because PanelDue needs to fetch all the heater mappings just like DWC does, and work out how they are assigned to tools and bed and chamber heaters. I'll be changing the way heaters are displayed at the same time to allow for variable tool/heater mapping.

Ok, thanks for the follow up!

Hi,
I follow up on the discussion we had about the chamber temperature. I was wondering if you started the working and when do you expect to see the new version?
Thanks
Best

@dc42 I'd like to carefully resurrect this thread and inquire about the implementation of this feature. Not so much to nag but maybe to add to the list of people who requested it. Chamber temperature is an important metric with my high temperature printer (+150 °C chamber temperature), and using macros for this and running to the computer to check on the status of the heating process is quite a nuisance.
Best regards,

@dc42 I have heated chamber as well, it would be great if you could implement in future build.
Thanks and Best,

It's on my list for the next major version of PanelDueFirmware.

Although I'm a bit late, I'm im the middle of implementing an enclosure and enclosure heater. I would love display and control of enclosure temperature from the front panel. Using the console to issue M141 commands works but is less than convenient.

I got my paneldue 7i a few days before and I had to notice that the chamber temperature still can't be seen or adjusted. I reviewed the code and the implementation seems to be possible with manageable effort.
Is anybody still working on the implementation?
dc42 stated he will do so with the next major release. But it would be good to know when it will be published to decide whether to wait or to program by myself... -
