I think I may have found the source of the problem. While I had the web interface working I did home the axes. This left my Z endstop triggered which is pulling V to GND constantly it looks like. I'll have to fix this in the morning.

I am able to communicate if I disconnect the Z endstop. I may have to re-design my endstops to use all 3 pins? Or maybe I just have them configured wrong…

EDIT: I just saw your post. Yes, it does look like the same issue.

I had to re arrange the pins on my endstop to fix it. Mine are the "dumb" 2 wire endstops, and I connected the wires on the outside, leaving the middle blank. The polarity on it doesn't matter. 3 wire endstops are a little more confusing though.

I've just tried with Cura 2.4 and it all worked correctly.

I wouldn't think the STL file would cause the issue unless DWC was unable to pull out the layer information - Do you have some examples of the files you were using ?

Let me describe again what the goal to achieve is.

Access the Duet wifi (having a private IP address) via the public IP internet over a router.
Normaly this requires a port forwarding rule on the router, something like
forward (external IP port) (Duet wifi external) to (ip of Duet Wifi) port 80
e.g. take 2000 as external IP port and the duet wifi ip address as 192.160.0.100

This would allow you to access your Duet Wifi over the internet .
With the duet 0.8.5 this works perfectly, with the duet wifi the connection can not be established.

In case this is still a question, I can confirm this does work just like it does for my Duet 0.6. I finally got my new printer up and running today with duet wifi, I setup port forwarding as test and confirmed it could be accessed externally via public IP.

running 1.18beta firmware, 1.14a dwc and 1.03 wifi server.

Had checksum error on line 6 and line 7 when I connected. Not sure what that meant, but uploaded the firmware again and problem solved. Firmware must have got corrupted somehow.

Unless you insert M400 before each M572 command or do something else that causes the move queue to be emptied such as pause the print, each M572 command is likely to be applied to existing moves in the move queue that have not already had their parameters frozen. Parameters get frozen about 0.5 seconds + 1 move earlier than they are due to be started.

As Tim says it's a bad idea to do that while powered as you could induce a short between the heater and the thermistor/PT100 that can damage the board.

That said you can change the time a heater will tolerate a fault by using M570:

I'm glad you solved it. Which Duet firmware and DWC versions are you running? I believe that bug was fixed recently.

A small correction: I should have said "you have hit the limit at which the firmware can process gcodes". It's somewhere between 1000 and 2000 gcodes/sec. There is probably scope to increase it, however it doesn't seem to be a limiting factor during normal printing.

Found what was going on. The gap fill speed was set to 0 in Slic3r.

Perfect timing on this - I thought you couldn't password protect it… wasn't sure what I was going to do for MRRF this year. Putting my printer on with no password would be a bad plan.

The only way I can see it working is if the firmware did some gcode preview type thing when file was loaded, identified separate objects, then marked the gcode in some way. Then if you clicked stop object 4 it would ignore gcode for object 4.

You should not be sending G92 Z0 after G29.

Running NW-02-27-P, two 20mm single holes in line. Having a friend machine an adapter to 20mm x 4 M3 so I can use any standard robotdigg/long carriages. Ends up being about the same height as a standard MGN-12. Maybe a little shorter. http://www.igus.com/wpck/3592/drylin_n_NK_02_27

I have samples, I really like them.

I'm on 24V and everything is near silent other than the e3d v6 fan- I don't use a fan for PETG. Also my electronics stay very cool as it's typically cold as f**k in my office.

Other trick with 12v fans on 24v is just set the maximum PWM frequency to 50% and you've got right around 12v. That or wire them in series.
