The compensation move is(for me at least), when the 4 leadscrews align the bed. It do the 4 probe point, then it goes down, then it does the compensations, then it goes to the point I configured.
I'm sorry for the delay in responding. What makes you so sure that the motors are losing steps?
A bed with 4 independent Z motors is over-constrained. Perhaps the problem is that the bed is slightly warped, and isn't sufficiently flexible for the motors to overcome the warp?
