RE: 3D Printing Industry Awards 2018 nominations - just 1 day left!
Done.
Although for "Innovation of the year" I nominated Precision Piezo.

RE: Expansion Header and Chamber Heater SSR
I may be quite wrong here, but would heater 7 not be H6 in the config since numbering of the heaters starts at H0?

RE: My Version Of The Hypercube Evolution
Amazing job! I'd already be happy to have mine enclosed just half as nice as yours is.

RE: Second print height issues
I would also double-check if you have a config-override.g file with G31 gcodes in it. Those will override your G31 settings in config.g
Had that happen to me before and ended up having to comment them out. -
RE: BLTouch working
Correct. The Z offset is the difference between the trigger height of the probe and the height of the nozzle tip. So in your case that would be around 0.45, which would be what you put as your Z value.
It basically just means that when your probe triggers, it will know that the nozzle is still 0.45mm above the bed.
Here are good instructions for finding the correct value:

MKS tft32 & Duet
I know there was a thread already where this was discussed. Unfortunately I can't find it right now.
Either way, I followed the instructions given here: https://hackaday.io/project/18852-alternative-firmware-for-mks-tft32I just wanted to report that I managed to get it to work following those instructions. So thank you for putting them up and creating the necessary firmware!
Here is a short video showing the hookup and operation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnsjCUPgt34The Duet isn't set up yet since this one is going to go into a new printer I am just building now. Even so, the communication between the tft32 and Duet works perfectly.

RE: CoreXY Z-Axis steps/mm question
Chances are you might have a multi start lead screw. While it is a 2mm pitch, the lead will then be a multiple of that. E.g. 4-start lead screw with 2mm pitch = 8mm lead (8mm travel per turn). In that case 8mm would be the number to put in the calculator, not 2.

RE: What is my speed limit?
E3D has a new version of the sock, which looks better: http://e3d-online.com/E3D-v6/Spares/V6-Sock-Kit-3-Pack
Ordered some of them to try. But yeah, had the same problem as you with the old version. -
RE: Help with setting up firmware for coreXY machine - unable to home.
I just had the same issue with the generated homeall.g file. Despite going through it line by line I could not find an issue.
In the end I just completely cleared the file, saved it empty, and then manually inserted the X, Y, Z homing commands from their respective homing files into homeall.g.
Now it works.Duet Ethernet with 1.18.1 by the way.

RE: BLTouch working
I don't have access to my BW config file at work here, but one thing I would try, is to leave off the I1 (invert polarity) in the M280 command. When I used the BLTouch, it would not work with that parameter set.
So basically just try this to deploy:
M280 P3 S10Hi everyone.
I've read through this entire thread 3 or 4 times now and I still can't get my DuetWiFi-BLTouch deploying, let alone retracting or bed levelling.
I've followed the BLTouch Wiki through and have the exact wiring connections.
What happens when I run a Home All, or even a Deploy Command, M401 or M280 P3 S10 I1, it homes X and Y successfully, then throws this error: INVALID M CODE: M401, or INVALID M CODE M280 P3 S10 I1, if I have changed all the deploy commands to the latter. I haven't been able to find this error code anywhere on the Duet forum or the internet.
When I start the Tevo Black Widow printer, the BLTouch lights up and deploys and retracts twice, before defaulting to the constantly lit state with the pin up. I had been using it perfectly fine with the MKS board, before switching to the Duet. I also don't have any macros set up yet, so I don't know if that's an issue for testing the BLTouch or running a home command.
I've been working on it for 4 days straight now and I have no idea what to do, please help.

RE: Testing Resolution / accuracy , Your results wanted! Z Probe Results
Just bought one of those from your early bird special.
Looking forward to trying it.
Planning on using that on a Hypercube Evolution that I am in the process of building.
Thanks for putting in the time and effort needed to develop such a product, and still making it easily available to everyone!Sandro
Couple of fresh results.
These are with a 20mm "Piezo20" module I am hoping to be able to sell soon, on a kossel XL.

RE: Testing Resolution / accuracy , Your results wanted! Z Probe Results
I like that idea that's very similar to Nebbian's deployable delta probe http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1517363 except he just uses an optical endstop so saving himself £25.
The original design I based this on also used an optical endstop. But I already had the IR sensor, so I figured I may as well use it. Especially too since I can run it in analog mode.

RE: Testing Resolution / accuracy , Your results wanted! Z Probe Results
You're welcome.
I use the Duet WiFi with 16 micro steps and 256 steps interpolation. And yes it's a cartesian.
Also that slide guide is just a repurposed ball bearing. Works well enough though. -
RE: Testing Resolution / accuracy , Your results wanted! Z Probe Results
Here are my results with a modified design of DC42's IR probe. Pretty happy with the results. With this design I don't have to worry about my print bed, which it doesn't do well on directly (glass/PEI).
