@oliof I can provide config shortly but shouldnt affect the initial connection of CAN (especially if other can devices are connecting just fine) and M122 of the board shows time out/ no connection.

RE: Setting up Scanning Probe, possible dead SZP board
@dc42 The red status light is blinking rapidly like it hasnt synced with the CAN.
Also yes there 5v supplied, I04 5v and ground are being used.

Setting up Scanning Probe, possible dead SZP board
Hardware Used
Duet3 Mini 5+
2 1HCL boardsAll working properly
Added the Scanning Probe and cant get it to connect to can.
trouble Shooting already done
-Set the delay in the config as directed
-Added the code for the probe from the docs
-Checked that everything is updated to 3.5.1
-Plugged the SZP board directly into the Duet 3 rather than off the second 1HCL board
-Hit the reset button on the board
-checked continuity from the plug at the Duet3 all the way to the pads on the back of the SZP High and Low both good
-Checked it with and without the coil connected. At this point I believe I have a defective board. does anyone have any ideas on what else I could try?

Splicing a scanning tool board into CAN properly
Currently trying to set up the Duet Scanning Probe into my system. I'm currently running a Duet 3 IDEX system with full size tool boards (as in not the roto). I have the probe and Z Scanning board but since there is not can out on the tool board I want to make sure I splice into the CAN correctly. Im running the twisted pairs from the tool distribution board to the tool board that come with the newer distribution boards.
Is there a suggested way to splice it in. I just want to make sure I don't cause additional issues when doing this.

Does anyone use the PS_on port on the Duet 3
I have been looking into controlling when one of my power supplies is on since it has a fan that is away on and can get annoying.
This is the power supply I want to power down and I also have a 5v power supply just for the raspberry that is fanless and can stay on.
https://www.meanwell.com/productPdf.aspx?i=469At this point, I'm just looking for some insight into how someone is using it so I don't screw something up.
Cheers,

RE: Nozzle crashes before print starts.
Nope that looks good. Can you post your full config?

RE: Dave's so proud
Not sure if you are aware but there are thousands of different printer setups that have to designed around. You can't expect everything to be plug and play, if that is what you want buy a prebuilt unit and never modify it. Spamming is not the answer, best of luck.

RE: Nozzle crashes before print starts.
Do you have a config override file?
If you do check to see if it has any bed offsets saved there. If it does comment them out an see if it solves the issue and let me know.

We will be patiently waiting for your fork with all of the fixes, Sunshine

RE: Duet 2 Maestro + Quadfusion Dev Here: Halp?
when the endstop triggered, how did the machine react? continue as if it wasnt triggered or did something else happen. Also was this happening when you home all the the axis interdependently? or did you hit home all? The configurator tends to royally screw up the Homeall.g file

RE: Duet 2 Maestro + Quadfusion Dev Here: Halp?
To correct the direction its a simple fix, Im guessing your Z drive is P2 like the duet. In that case change the
M569 P2 S1To
M569 P2 S0What kind of endstop are you using?

RE: Duet 2 Maestro + Quadfusion Dev Here: Halp?
Can you post your Config.g?

RE: 2 fans showing, only one should
Setting>User Interface
There is a fan setting letting you choose which you would like visible. Select which you would like then select "Apply Setting".

RE: Blobs and under extrusion with S3D
After playing with retraction and pressure advance everything looks good when its not moving between parts. When it is it comes out like this

RE: Adding an additional capacitor for Print Resume
Yes sorry I mean capacitor

Adding an additional capacitor for Print Resume
Printer Setup
30W hotend heater
M906 X800 Y800 Z1200 E1200
360W Heated Bed
500W Mean Well power supplyThe issues that I have ran into is that there isn't enough power left to lower the bed (dropping Z) and move the head to the side at power loss.
Easy solution- Larger power supply.
Issue- I cant find a power supply to fit the footprint I have assigned to it (no I cant just put a larger one in there)Purposed solution- Make a daughter board that slots into the power supply terminals that has a large capacitor to allow for the use of Print Resume. There are three Line and Neutral post on the power supply the plan is to just add the capacitor to one set and and have outputs off the daughter board. The other two sets would just pass through the daughter board.
Any ideas or thoughts on this? Reasons why it wont work?

RE: Blobs and under extrusion with S3D
I ran a retraction test (4 spikes in a 20x20mm square) with great results at 0.2. I also printed a few parts in pla with no issue, PETG Im bumping it up to 0.5-0.8 to get great results.

RE: Blobs and under extrusion with S3D
After a large amount of tweaking Retraction speed and distance (ending with 0.2mm distance and 5000mm/min speed), Pressure advance (0.05) and extra restart distance (ranging from 0 to 0.2, settling on 0) I still have a small seam. Any other suggestions?
