This answers my question. Thanks a lot for your detailed explanations!

There are two sets of coordinates: user coordinates and machine coordinates. Currently, DWC displays only the user coordinates, which are the coordinates that the GCode file you are printing commands. DWC has access to the machine coordinates as well, so future version may give you the option of displaying them. Meanwhile, if you send M290 then it will report the current babystepping.

The G32 command runs the bed.g macro file, just as if you sent command M98 P"bed.g". That's all, and it's the only thing that makes bed.g special.

Interestingly - as of today, all of a sudden, deleting of Gcode files also works with Safari. I don't know why, but the confirmation window pop-up like alright. Like it does on Firefox. I haven't even closed and reopen Safari - it just works.

For me the issue is closed herewith.

Individual tower moves G1 S2 moves --> OK Endstop status M119 --> OK. Increased homing distance from 405mm to 500mm. --> that was it !!!

(I initially thought 405mm would be more than enough, since my homed height is ~360mm. That was my fault)
