Hi Everyone, hope you all had a Merry Christmas and upcoming happy new year. I have been busy with getting the scara to have consistent improved deviation on the probing accuracy test. with a more rigid setup, I now can get it to usually within 0.02mm of deviation, with the worse being 0.04mm (out of like 11 tries that was the worse), so I'm happy with that. Still, I'm hoping we can implement a probing degree offset for scara printers. I've gotten the duet IR to about 8mm of the nozzle, so hopefully it works for bed leveling.

Back to mesh grid and other issues.

Yeah I knew I forgot something, this part in his drawing here that you've posted, either he made an error here, as you can see later on in the instructions here, it gets flipped the other way around. Hence why I am confused with the endstops, but his CAD drawing that I inked and as you said before also show the same thing, hence the confusion, and he hasn't responded in awhile, so I don't know.

Anyone familiar with SCARA can shed a light on this? It's not hard for me to flip the orientation, but yeah. Or is it as oliof said, it's okay because just need to follow a specific order of homing first the proximal then the distal arm? I couldn't find the setting in the marlin that he gave out here so I don't know either:

@iamthebest22 just want to know if you have managed to run the machine output correctly, I have designed a machine that has polar coordinates where Y is turntable and X and Z are moving on the plate basically machine should move theta in Y and R on X , I would ask your help if you managed to resolve the issues you are facing on your machine for me the machine prints a skewed shapes with round edges and i am not able to come over this machine shape is flipped L where the base is Y , Z goes up and down and X moves by R value .

in configuration.h

you have to uncomment the line and set it to the desired port.
for the port number you have to look up the pin layout.
the aux port has rx1 and tx1, so i would guess those would be serial 1

I use the max probe points as well since the bed is quite stable I only have to do it very rarely, which is good because it takes about 45 minutes to probe the 300x300 bed.

Sorry for the late delay, had to go to the dentist today for the usual stuff :P. Anyways, after forgetting to check all my drives are in the correct direction "coughextrudercough". I think I got it working. in Slic3r PE I turned the first layer temp off to 0 and this is my starting slicer gcode:
G28 ; home all axes
M104 S0 ; set nozzle to ensure 0 temp while auto bed leveling

G4 S300 ; Dwell for 300 seconds or 5 minutes

printed a cube successfully 😛
right now it does what it says, and then after 1st layer at 210, it goes to 207 for the other layers as specified. Woot!
I'm not finished yet though, because this machine is part of a longer process that I"m trying to fix and because it was getting z wobble at heights above 600mm ish, and I've changed the lead screws to 8mm instead of 12mm and put on thrust bearings. Oh okay so my slicer start code will still work? Cause while it's not my only printer (I have quite a few) but this is my really high quality printer 😄 so I will update it for sure just gonna have to wait until the Spring Break (I'm a teacher full time and 3d printer is my part time/hobby) so if anything goes wrong I can have time to fix it immediately.

Thanks Phaedrux, so I'll try the starting gcode I've posted as a temporary measure until I upgrade firmware.

Never Mind, you're right, I missed the setting in the M665, it's a config from someone else, the setting was B155, which is too small for the probe as the BLtouch is 2cm probe offset. It works now thank you very much! 😄

If the pin deploys fully and it thinks it touched the bed (i.e. there are no "Z probe was not triggered" messages) and otherwise it behaves normally, then I think the most likely cause is a bad crimp on the white wire.
