@dc42 oohh that sounds interesting! I look forward to that implementation! So does this mean that I should not be hooking up one of the duet filament monitors to my toolboard yet?

RE: M303 Auto PID on toolboard???
@CaLviNx thank you for sharing that document - much appreciated. i would agree that PID calibration is core function for ensure the best quality prints and would suggest that it is more vital than playing with lights... but then again I am not the one doing the coding - so maybe it is low hanging fruit first

RE: M303 Auto PID on toolboard???
well ok then... I'll do it the hard way and look forward to 3.3 as I do like to run PID calibration every so often

M303 Auto PID on toolboard???
So I read a post that said M303 auto PID is not supported on the toolboard... if that is correct, what is the manual procedure for running PID Calibration? Or am I better off dismounting my hotend and connecting directly to the mainboard?
Any ideas WHY M303 doesn't work on toolboard and when that will be corrected?

RE: RepPanel - A DIY alternative to the PanelDue with WiFi support
@PCR Count me in for one, 2x20 pins would be helpful send me details of how to pay and cost of shipping to 96744 USA

RE: Duet 3 touch screen
I've had both a 7" PanelDue and a 7" rPi touch screen. The rPI is the better/easier solution to implement, and provides more flexibility if you want to do other things with the screen later.

RE: RepPanel - A DIY alternative to the PanelDue with WiFi support
@PCR why not... I'll give it a go. Looking forward to it! So I should go ahead and order the board and display? Any parameters/features I should be looking for? i assume any ESP devboard should work... but what about the screen?

RE: RepPanel - A DIY alternative to the PanelDue with WiFi support
@PCR I'm in assuming it isn't stupid expensive -- Could I have more details on intended cost and functionality... is this an 'all in one kit'? DIY?

@PCR When the PCB is done... sign me up for one! I love the idea of the RepPanel, but have limited skills and time to implement... so the more plug and play the better

RE: My BLV MGN cube build/upgrade saga (ongoing)
I used blind joints with my Misumi extrusions and it was worth every penny! Misumi's cuts were spot on and when done, no angle was off my more than .3 degrees using my digital square. And SOLID as a rock to! Thanks to @Nuramori for the suggestion!

RE: Duet3 Neopixel Wiring
@Nuramori You are the best! And no worries, take care of life on your end. I'm still screwing around trying to get the printer running after a continuous stream of part tweaking and modifications to fit my non-standard build (hey, it seemed a good idea at the time )

RE: Critique my BLV cube toolchanger draft!
@whopping-pochard Outstanding, thank you! I am close to bringing my 're-mixed' BLV MGN online. (remixed as in borrowed ideas from all over the smashed them together in 3Dbuilder since I have no CAD skills

RE: Critique my BLV cube toolchanger draft!
@whopping-pochard I'm digging that design with the swingout toolboard case and shared cooling fan. Are you sharing the design?

RE: BL Touch Self Test Speratic
@Eduma interesting. I have no red alarms at power on and the BLTouch seems to be working correctly at startup (M280 commands all work without need to force alarm reset). I just dont get the poweron automatic self-test... that's it as far as my issues. Genuine v3.1 for what its worth.

RE: BL Touch Self Test Speratic
@droftarts Thanks for sharing the word from the experts -- I have an extra 120uF from grounding the second twisted pair in the ADSL line. I dont know enough about resisters to know if that is close enough value, but will give it a go. Does direction of the resister matter? For what its worth, I am powering rPI and a 7" screen off of the Duet3 board.

RE: BL Touch Self Test Speratic
@oozeBot I am not quite that far... still finishing first time start up... That is quite frustrating. I hope we get someone from Duet to let us know what to try/look for/patch firmware...
-
RE: BL Touch Self Test Speratic
@fcwilt Thank you... the question at hand is should the BLTouch automatically do an unprompted self test as soon as it has power. Several of us are having an issues with the v3.1 on the Toolboard. There is a suspicision that it is not getting sufficent 5V immediately during boot up to run test. So fallback appears to force a M280 P0 S120 in the startup gCode
-
RE: Duet3/Toolboard BLTouch v3.1 doesn't self test
@oozeBot that was my understanding as well - a self test as soon as power is applied. But I'll add the M280 into the startup gCode and run with that...

RE: BL Touch Self Test Speratic
@Eduma Thanks - a time relay is not realistic on the Toolboard, so I'll just have to run with it Appreciate you sharing your solution though!
