For now I mounted one exactly like those in a Kettle 100C ;-), after activation the thermo expandable medium while contract and close the circuit again...

Mine is a custom build and a tank, but I wonder if I should remove the sprint bed like I did with my delta. I'm somewhat encouraged by the results

The standard firmware update procedure since version 2.02 is to upload ONE ZIP FILE to your Duet. That zip file contains the main firmware, the WiFi firmware (if needed), and DWC.

If you wait until several major releases go past and then upgrade piecemeal, then of course you may get mismatches.
