Hi,
I updated from old Paneldue v1.1 to a v3. The big screen.
Everything was working fine after the upgrade... Including touch.
Yesterday I turn the printer on and although the display works, the touch does not. What is wrong?
Power cycle, power cycle, power cycle, no luck.

My heat bed does not heat up fast enough
I am upgrading from RR2 to RR3. Reading through the RR3 overview. Have not made it all the way through yet but my head bed triggers a heater fault because it heats up at ~0.41C /sec when it is expecting 1.71C /sec... It IS working...
Nothing obvious. Continuing to read....
What am I missing?
Some config goodness -

RE: Value of R3 on PanelDue 1.1 board
@eddiie I found it on the datasheet. "Recommended External Series Resistor" 27 ohms. Same as R2.

Value of R3 on PanelDue 1.1 board
Of course I ripped off the usb connector some years ago. Trying to reconnect something now to upgrade the firmware but it isnt working.
R3 seems to be broken in my attempts to attach a wire to it.
Can someone tell me what the value of R3 is on the Paneldue 1.1 board? Is it the same as R2? which reads ~24 ohms?

RE: Upgrade PanelDue v1.1
Thank you. Looks like I can get a newer controller from Filastruder. Should I get it?

RE: Upgrade PanelDue v1.1
I am still a bit confused here. Is the screen used on the paneldue 1.1 still usable with newer paneldue controller?
I want to move to RRF 3

Upgrade PanelDue v1.1
A few years ago out of frustration I put this mini kossel printer away. Recently I started rebuilding parts of it... Today I went to look at upgrading firmware on the different components... To my surprise there are Paneldue "i" types now, version 2, version 3 of panel due.
My DuetWifi controller board that has about 36 hours used is probably outdated too.
Was there an upgrade board released at some time to go from the Paneldue v1.1 to whatever the latest version is now?
What is different between the 7 and 7i ?

RE: Expected Behaviour?
@deckingman good to hear from you.
Thanks for breaking that down a bit better.Lately I've been fighting with clolor fade/bleeding. Could this be a firmware bug too?
A color (any of them) no matter how big the prime tower is, the back of the models print magenta in the back, and it slowly fades to the correct color by the time it gets to the front of the model. does this make sense? I will make a post later. -
RE: Prevent Multiple Retracts and Unretracts
That is great news! Thanks guys.

RE: DuetWiFiServer 1.22 released
Take your printer to a friend's house and test on their network. Curious..

RE: Hotend crashes after print was stopped and started again.
There was a bug fix in the latest release related to stop/start (pause / resume).. I was having the same problem and the new release fixed it. (I think it was fixed in 2.02 RC6; see release notes)
Currently I am on -
Firmware Version: 2.02RC6(RTOS) (2018-12-15b2)
WiFi Server Version: 1.21
Web Interface Version: 1.22.5 -
PanelDue Request - Graphs / Histograms
I am afraid the answer to this is going to be no but thought I'd ask anyway -
On the print info screen, there is a bit of empty space, perfect for a small graph.
Is it possible to display hotend and bed temp histograms, and layer histograms in some sort of visual way on the paneldue?

PanelDue Request - Show Current Z height on Print Info Screen
Can we get the current Z height displayed on the print info screen (next to the current z probe value -- I think the print info screen shows the current Z probe value..)?

Panel Due Request - Configurable Time Delay on Message Boxes
Can we make the time that a message is displayed on the paneldue a configurable time?
-
Expected Behaviour?
Duet Wifi, Panel Due, Kossel, Diamond Hotend, 12 tools defined, or 6 tools defined...
Power on the printer....At this moment, should I expect to be able to select the hotend temp button and set a temperature like I can for the heat bed?
-- I cannot. There are 2 Temp settings; Active and Standby. Setting a temp using the touch screens, Set, the temp appears for a moment then it disappears and temp is not set.
-- Touching the area where the current temperature is displayed, turns the background yellow (I assume this indicates standby). I am then able to set the Standby temp but not Active temp.
..........................Is there a visual indication on the Paneldue as to which tool is currently selected like it does on the web gui?

Prevent Multiple Retracts and Unretracts
Is it possible, or does it already do this? To have the firmware ignore multiple G10 commands without a G11 and vice-versa ignore multiple G11's without a G10?
Retract Example:
G10 check for flag, if flag is high, ignore G10 command, otherwise set a flag to 1 and retract.
G11 reset flag and unretract.this might get complicated with multiple tools.. ?
I am noticing back to back G10's in my GCode

RE: Major delta problems
65 is pretty hot (at least to me it is).
PEI is awesome. Try dropping to 60 or 58.I got an MK3 recently. Love it. I try PETG recently on the MK3, Love it.
I used it to re-print some parts on my dimond hotend mini kossel Duet Wifi.. Lovin it.
I swear the more extruders, the more problems. lol -
RE: Delta finally printing...
Nice.
My Delta / Kossel is working again after taking a break from it for almost 2 years.
It has a mixing head, happy it is working now. Happy for you too!I have stringing too, more like webbing. Not sure why.
It has a hard time printing a bowl.

RE: Heater Fault
Did this happen in the previous version of the firmware?
I have 2.02RC5 and was running into random heater 1 faults.
Once I clear/resume, the head would crash into the part it was printing and get all scewed up. RC6 has a bug fix for this. The temp graph looked fine.210 degrees
about 4 -5 hours into the print job
