I figured it out, thank you for the reply, the diode i was using was the smaller signal diode and i was not sufficient enough. I have a BAT85 now and it works perfectly
The default in firmware 2.02 is that stealthchop is turned off at very low speeds, to ensure reliable printing without skipping steps. That's why the motors are now noisier when moving. You can use the M569 command to increase that speed.
