The main things to watch when upgrading form Duet 2 to Duet 3 Mini are:

DueX5 expansion is not supported, OTOH there is CAN bus expansion and also a 2-driver add-on module The stepper drivers on Duet 3 Mini can't handle as much current as Duet 2. Maximum recommended current setting is 1600mA although you can push it a little higher with good cooling. Duet 3 Mini doesn't provide a 5V fan power option, however it provides a 12V fan power option instead. There isn't an internal WiFi antenna option, just WiFi external antenna and Ethernet options.

I upgraded my delta printer from Duet 2 to Duet 3 Mini several years ago. I had to print a new back panel for access to the USB connector, SD card and reset button because their positions have moved from Duet 2, and make provision to mount the external WiFi antenna.
