Touch Screen Optimized Web Interface?

I only use my tablets/surface/phone to control my Duet(s).
I don't know if this has been brought up before but;

I would love a trimmed down web interface, with touch friendly layout/buttons, even if it was simply a "virtual PanelDue" skin.

Just enough functions to

Browse /Start /Pause /Stop print files
Auto Calibrate / home all
Set temps (or just a section for quick macros)
View status / Print progress (Basic compact)
Adjustments:
Move the tool head (arrow buttons 10steps)
Extrusion/speed/ (+/-5% buttons)
Z-baby steps

I realize that this is almost all the standard interface functions already, but if the lay out/size of the buttons was more condensed, it would go a long way.

In the case of my best touch screen(my surface), it's manageable, but still things like slides controls (adjust speed/extrusion), or drop down menus(pick temps), or just small buttons... can be fickle to manipulate as a touch interface.

And gets even more tricky if I try and use my phone(S8) .

It would be a major compliment to have a touch optimized/ basic/utilitarian web interface skin/option.

Yes, i second that. I use my phone exclusively. Download and upload for gcode files and settings is what i requested as well.

@Ottobawt which surface you have ? I was thinking if surface 3 would be ok to have slicer on, would it be sufficient? Want a tabled/laptop for 3d printers.

The original ChrisHamm DWC It is open source... and does a pretty decent job of splitting the HTML vs. the Javascript. Having a "really big button" version should be pretty easy.

I slice, run solidworks, etc/kinda everything.

Yes it does bog down a bit under complicated objects in Solidworks. Slicing could be faster, but it's not rarely painful.

It's amazingly productive for it's amount of power.

TLDR,
a Pro3 i5 or greater would probably be fine for slicing, but a regular 3 might be taxed, I can't confirm.

I've got an idea for a future concept but making a change as you requested to the current DWC version is not trivial.
The web interface provides basically everything that a user may wants to do on a tablet, so I am reluctant to cut off functionality depending on the screen size even if that might simplify things for you. The UI is already responsive so it is already more or less touch-screen optimised.

Once the layout and functionality of the web interface can be modified as needed you can achieve what you have in mind, but it will take a while longer before we get to this stage.
