CAN Wiring

I am starting yet another project. I am building another IDEX using two E3D Roto Extruders running off of Roto Toolboards from a Duet 3 Mini 5. I don't really have the space for a distribution board. To put it simply, can I crimp both of the CAN high wires together and both of the CAN low wires together at the Duet 3 Mini 5? Essentially, it would be one, two prong plug, with four CAN wires (2 high/2 low) leaving it. I've read the documentation, I just want to ensure that I am understanding it correctly. TYIA!

@SonnyD1 I think this will be okay, except that you need to enable termination on one of the toolboards by fitting a jumper on the CAN Termination resistor jumper pins (which will make this the 'main' part of the CAN bus, can be any length), and the length of the CAN cable to the other must be under 1m (as this is effectively a spur off the CAN bus).

@droftarts Ok...Just to clarify. If I have a T0 and a T1. I need to terminate the T1 with the provided Termination tool? Or does it even matter which one? The length will not be an issue as it's a small printer (Makergear M3ID). TYIA!

@SonnyD1 It shouldn't matter which toolboard has the CAN bus termination, but only one of them should have it. You need to fit a jumper on the CAN Termination resistor jumper pins on the Roto board, see the wiring diagram: https://docs.duet3d.com/Duet3D_hardware/Duet_3_family/Duet_3_Roto_Toolboard#wiring-diagram. The pins are just behind IO3.
I'm not sure what you mean by "... the provided Termination tool".

@droftarts I meant the "pinch jumper." You've answered all I needed. I just wanted to be sure I was understanding all of the documentation before I proceeded. Thank you very much for your reply.

@SonnyD1 I think you mean the '2.0mm pitch jumper', ie the jumper fits on pins that are 2mm apart.
