4028 Fan Connection zu Duet 6HC
-
Hey Guys
I am almost desperately trying to connect my Delta fan FFB0412EN-00.
I have connected the fan in the same way as the data sheet or the previous configuration on an Octopus Pro board. But I seem to be getting a short circuit on the Duet, the board won't start or simply shuts down.
Black and red are for + and -, connected to GND and V_OUTLC1.The part in the Config.g looks like this:
; Fans
M950 F0 C "out4+out4.tach" Q25000
M106 P0 S0 H-1 C "Layer Fan"Is the fan perhaps not compatible? Or does it seem to be defective due to the conversion?
Any suggestions?

@Classified just a heads up, this is a 1.45A fan and Duet supports no more than 0.8A on the 12V rail. So you must use an external 12V power supply (or buck converter) on this.
As this is a 4 wire fan, you could connect just PWM control to the Duet board while running VIN and GND to a buck converter that is fed by your main PSU. Connecting the fan monitoring wire reporting RPM is optional..
