deploy probe before checking Z switch

Hello, Don't see this in the other questions. I have a hobby servo deploy a probe for sensing Z stop and for bed leveling. When the probe is retracted it is triggered. I get an error that the "Error: Probe already triggered at start of probing move".
What I would like to know...is there a way to deploy the probe before the switch state is checked?
I'm running
Board: Duet 3 MB6HC (MB6HC)
Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 3 MB6HC 3.4.5 (2022-11-30) -
How do you currently have the probe configured in config.g? Are you using a deploy/retract macro? Share your homing files as well.
