@deckingman Could be an individual too, just anyone that had a notable use for them that you found interesting/beneficial.
-
@elmoret How about for my CNC guitar pickup winder. I was going to use parts from my Tarantula but I donated it to our local High School. They have had it since the beginning of the school year and still haven't done anything with it.
-
@deckingman Just ride with the king? And kudos to @elmoret…
-
@elmoret Maybe it would help @deckingman the most, when you buy it now and look for a way to donate it later.
A discussion about "who's worth it" only wastes time.I'd like to see it going to someone who's planning to make use of RRF3.5 dual gcode stream feature and helps the devs by building another testrig.(which often requires a lot of stepper drivers) -
@o_lampe the duet 2 doesn't support multiple streams unfortunately
-
@jay_s_uk Is that final? I thought the devs were still looking to fit it in a Duet2 by skipping rarely used kinematics and other stuff?
-
@o_lampe i think so. was going off this post https://forum.duet3d.com/post/312241
-
@mesacrash Its up to @deckingman , not me!
@o_lampe I mean sure if it ends up taking a while, but its only been a couple days now since the offer. I'm sure @deckingman isn't in THAT big a hurry...

Calm down guys - I'm working on it. I've managed to raise enough cash to buy some aluminium stock so I'll be busy machining parts for a couple of weeks or so.
@elmoret Tim - would a local maker space count? An acquaintance of mine knows the guy who runs one in Milton Keynes which is about 20 miles away from where I live. Apparently they do have some sort of 3D printer so they might be interested. I'm not sure how these things work though and whether a maker space would fit your criteria of "suitable/deserving".
