      You can test the thermostatic fan by sending M106 P1 H-1 S1 which should turn it on full. When it's powered on full, move the print head around to bed to see if the fan cuts out. It sounds like a wiring break.

        @phaedrux your a wizard man. totally a wire in the drag chain... as soon as the hotend moves to the far side of the bed the wire for the fan is bent and when it straightens out in the chain it comes back on. Thanks!
