Modix BIG 180x have to run a bed compensation between prints
-
I'm running into an issue with BIG 180x I recently upgraded the firmware hoping it would help with this issue, but it didn't.
If I run a bed compensation so it creates a new height map and then print it prints fine. Then once that print is done if I try to print again my hot end stays up in the air away from the be. If I run another bed compensation it will print just fine.
Hoping someone maybe able to point me to a solution. Cause I would definitely like to save that 45 minutes.

We would need to know what is happening between prints. Are the motors being de-energized? Are you rehoming? Is the bed temperature changing? How long between prints? What do you have in your gcode files?
Have you tried saving the heightmap and reloading it rather than doing a completely new re-probe?

@zzevers Appreciate this is nearly a year later but I've had a similar problem with my Modix BIG-180X. As @Phaedrux mentioned, de-energising the motors knocks your bed levelling out. I find I need to run the tilt calibration before each print from the web interface and then the bed mesh applies correctly.
