Solved Correct distance

@heide said in Correct distance:
What do I need to know to get the correct distance for X, Y and Z?
It is a Voron build.
Right now I have about 420 mm to a 300 mm boardHi,
Not sure what you mean by the "correct distance for X, Y and Z".
Can you elaborate a bit?
Thanks.

@fcwilt Yeps, when X or Y travels 300 mm, the tool position is stated 420 mm

Do you mean when starting at, say, X=0, a command to move 300mm actually moves 420mm?

@fcwilt Yes that right

@fcwilt of cause it only moves 300 mm. But the tool position says 420 mm

I'm still confused.
The tool position of 420 is only meaningful if we know:
- the starting tool position
- the distance commanded to move

@fcwilt The bed is 300 X 300. The tool travels 300 mm. The Tool Position states that the travel was 420 mm.

@fcwilt I command the tool to travel 420 mm, it will only travel 300 actual mm. I need to command the tool 300 mm. and it will move 300 actuel mm.

Then you need to adjust the appropriate axis parameter in your M92 command.
New Axis Parameter Value = Current Axis Parameter Value * (420 / 300)
Repeat as needed to get satisfactory result.
