I need hands on support upgrading my Delta's firmware.
-
I have autism, specifically in this way I have very hard time absorbing written knowledge, I'm a better visual+auditory learner.
I do fine in some aspects, but these firmware guides might as well be trying to defuse a Korean-time-bomb, my business depends on these machines, hence the extra stress.I'm still on 1.19.2 and 2.01.
If someone is able to spend some time walking me through the paces, and or even taking over with a remote desktop sort of thing, I would be very grateful. If that means compensating someone for their time, I would be glad to do that.

@ottobawt maybe not so much help but I would suggest to make a new config with the config tool and take it from there.
Tell us about your printer and post your actual g-files for your printer. -
@ottobawt where are you located / what timezone are you in?
-
(GMT-8) BC Canada, west coast.
I can usually make myself available for any time. -
@ottobawt As a suggestion, if you were to zip up the config directory and drop it into here, might be able to take a look and help.
Possibly make the necessary changes and guide you through firmware update stages etc.P.

@ottobawt I find the forums are filled with very helpful people. However if you really want one on one suport, I have offerd such consultancy work in the past for people here though my company Nxt-3D. Fyi, I also have delta printer, running rrf3.
I am in the EU (GMT +1) timezone but shoot be a message if you are interested.

it would also help if we knew which board you have?

@ottobawt Is there any particular reason you need to update? You should be able to update to RRF 2.05.1 (the last RRF 2.x version) without changing your config; though it depends on how 'stock' your configuration is. Also send M115 and post the response, so we know what Duet boards you have.
If you want to update to the latest RRF version (currently 3.3 is the stable release), you will need to make significant changes to your config, though. As others have said, post your config.g (and config-override.g, if you use it) or the whole of your sys folder. That can be used to create a new config with the RepRapFirmware configuration tool.
Updating the firmware and DWC is pretty straightforward too. I recently tested, and was able to update from 1.19 to 3.0, then to 3.3. I would recommend you start with a fresh SD card, though. See https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/RepRapFirmware/SD_card#creating-the-file-structure to set up a new SD card.

I guess he's got two, and at least one is a Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet/Maestro. RRF 2.01 doesn't run on Duet 06, 085 or Duet 3. Duet 06 and 085 can run 1.26.1, which is equivalent to 2.05.1.
