PanelDue 7i not working

I recently got a used PanelDue 7i display already knowing it may have some display damage ( the prevous owner mentioned it had discoloration in some parts) i was trying to set it up and i kept getting this bright white screen when i plugged it into my duet wifi 2 via ribbon cable. i then powered it via micro usb and got same white screen. Im wondering if this is because its damaged or becuase im missing something.
