Heated bed timed out
-
Hello All,
I'm working on the heated bed. I have Duet wifi2 and using Solid state relay to control power to heated bed. I was able to set temperature and it started to rise, but timed out saying not fast enough. I think I set it up for pid control in configurator. Maybe its better bang bang?
I'm running RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 3.3 (2021-06-15) .
I found the code concerned with controlling the bed in the config.g but I don't yet understand it enough. -

PID should work fine but you have to have the correct settings for the heater configuration and you need to run the tuning procedure.
Please post (using the </> tag) your config.g file.
Thanks.

@handymanpa54 PID tune your bed using M303 H0 S60. The S value sets the temperature so if you print with a hitter bed, change that value accordingly. Be prepared for it to take an hour or so

Does this tune the bed heater? Or maybe just leave this code in there and work with this?

You don't want to try and run tuning from config.g.
Here is the docs on M303. Determine the parameters you wish to use and run it from the DWC console. You will want to remain at the printer to monitor progress and any problems that may arise.
